As the ”face” of Germantown Iron & Steel, here are just a few of our leadership team members who work directly with our customers and partners:
David Armstrong
CEO
David Armstrong is a leader with a track record of driving innovation, growth, and success. Stepping into the role of Germantown Iron & Steel’s CEO in 2021, David has shaped the company’s strategic direction and demonstrated a deep understanding of the steel fabrication industry with a relentless commitment to excellence.
Before joining Germantown Iron & Steel, David held several key leadership positions in prominent organizations within the investment sector. Known for his ability to navigate complex market dynamics, adapt to industry disruptions, and drive sustainable profitability, David is enthusiastic in guiding Germantown Iron & Steel toward becoming a market leader.
Outside of work David enjoys outdoor activities, investments, and spending time with his lab – Birdie. He is also an active board member or Central Fabricator Association (CFA).
Kyle Frost
President
Kyle Frost began his career at his family’s steel company, where he learned the industry from the ground up. As a fourth-generation fabricator, Kyle benefited from a wealth of knowledge and developed a deep-rooted passion for steel. After expanding his expertise in larger companies and a larger Chicago-area market, Kyle took on progressively larger leadership roles.
Kyle joined Germantown Iron & Steel in 2024 as our new President. In this role, he oversees all aspects of the company with a clear vision: to elevate GIS as the premier steel fabricator in the Wisconsin market.
Outside of work Kyle enjoys working on his house, spending time with his wife and kids, and you can find him out golfing and fishing with his son in the summer.
Don Blecher
Director of Project Management
Don Blecher is one of Germantown Iron & Steel’s most experienced and versatile leaders, having joined the company in 1987. Don has demonstrated a relentless pursuit of learning, growing his knowledge of the industry “from the ground up.” Don has held roles in structural steel erection, installation of structural and miscellaneous steel, shipping, purchasing, estimating, project management, and today holds a pivotal leadership role as our Director of Project Management & Field Services.
Outside of work Don enjoys deer hunting, raising animals on his hobby farm, camping and fishing.
Luke Krueger
Director of Production
Luke Krueger’s career journey began and flourished over years at Germantown Iron & Steel, after he developed a passion for the steel industry as early as high school. Luke accumulated experience in welding and fabricating, later taking on leadership roles that included Foreman of Structural Steel and Fabrication Manager. Today, Luke plays a broader role directing not only production, but also operations, providing end-to-end oversight to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
Outside of work Luke enjoys camping, hiking, fishing and exploring old homes and buildings with his wife.
Birdie
Outside of work Birdie enjoys miscellaneous stealing.
